Direct Payment Information
We are pleased to offer a Direct Payment Information online session, held by Durham County Council 
Direct payments are council funds paid directly to individuals for arranging their own social care, rather than receiving services directly from the council. They offer flexibility and control, allowing the hiring of personal assistants or agencies to meet assessed needs.
Support for managing these payments is available through dedicated, independent, or council-run support services.
