We have an exciting opportunity for a Carer Support Coordinator to join our team.
The role is based at the Spennymoor office of Durham County Carers Support, to predominantly work in an allocated patch of Easington. However, the job holder may be required from time to time work anywhere within County Durham. 28 hours per week
Fixed term contract for 1 year
21 hours per week. Actual Salary – £14,954
Covering a patch within the Easington area.
Durham County Carers Support provides information, support and advice to people who are providing unpaid care and support to a relative, friend or neighbour.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated person with a passion to help people and an understanding of the challenges that Carers face. The post holder will provide information and support to Carers by telephone, online as well as face to face appointments in Carers homes and community venues.
You will be helping Carers to make informed choices around their caring role and will aim to ensure support is in place to improve their health and wellbeing. It is essential that you have a good knowledge of welfare benefits, health and social care systems, a full driving licence and access to a car.
